Mission to Kenya – May 2025
A five-member team of “Heart Doctors”, departed from Athens on Friday 30.5.2025, to Kenya. With a stopover in Cairo, the team arrived at dawn the next day in the capital of Kenya, Nairobi.
Invited by the polytechnic school of “Bible College” and after bureaucratic procedures at the airport customs which took about three days, on Tuesday 3.6.2025 they started to offer
free medical services, diagnoses and care at the school in Thika district.
In the following days, “Heart Doctors” team offered their medical services in the villages of Kimende, Ewaso Kendong, Riruta and Nakuru based at the monastery in Riruta area where they were guests of Bishop Makarios. These specific villages had a school, dispensary and church. Where it was deemed necessary, pharmaceutical material was donated to meet the needs of the residents.
On the last day, 12.6.2025, the team visited the area where the Masai people reside and they examined them.
Main diseases:
Back pain, arthralgia, hypertension, eye and dental diseases, gastroenteritis, upper respiratory infections, skin diseases. Malaria did not exist due to the time period.
On 12.6.2025 the team of “Heart Doctors” departed early in the morning for Athens with a stopover in Cairo.
